About: Bernardo Gigliotti - Filmmaker

Born in New Brunswick, N.J., Bernardo just finished his feature film-directing debut with "Ordinary Madness". Growing up in New Jersey with a large and crazy Italian family has given him a wellspring of rich stories. He began his career as an actor working on stage and film. Bernardo attended the American Film Institute and was part of the Masters directing program at San Diego State University with Dr. Owen.

His writing credits include "The Five-O" which is preparing for production in New York City. Legendary Productions and Steve Bernstein are producing the film. Paul Michael Glaser is directing. Paramount Studios is handling the domestic distribution.

Bernardo's other original screenplays include the coming of age story "Frankie Wolfe" in which he is preparing to direct in the fall. He just finished directing a successful theatrical run in Los Angeles with his play "The Amazing Pazano's". The play was based on characters from his screenplay "The Coconut Grove". Other scripts include a Brooklyn story called "Luck Be A Lady". He also wrote the Black Comedy "Mrs. Morelli's Revenge" and co-wrote the American love story "Hollow Ground".

He is currently excited about writing his new Romantic Comedy called "The Mourner" in which encouraged by his producing partner Paula, he plans on shooting in Italy.

Bernardo's writing influences are Luigi Pirandello, Eugene Ionesco, Dario Fo, Henry Miller, Samuel Beckett, John Patrick Shanley and the master himself, Charles Bukowski. Bernardo's favorite past time is sipping a daily coffee with his greatest inspiration; his 86 year old father Frank ("The Fish House") Gigliotti
